Information Studies: Information Systems (track)

As of 2018-2019 the tracks Human Centred Multimedia and Business Information Systems will be merged in the interdisciplinary Information Systems (IS) track of the Master's Information Studies. This new track is designed to give you the tools to analyse and create systems for the supply, storage and communication of information. IS is based on the intelligent communication between humans and information systems.

  • you want to make connections between corporate/organisational management and the people responsible for developing technological solutions
  • you want to translate user demands into innovative solutions

The programme examines subjects like:

  • media & sensor technology
  • information retrieval
  • semantic web technology
  • mobile systems
  • gaming
  • privacy
  • innovation & design thinking
  • cognitive tools

The city of Amsterdam is ideally suited to research these subjects. It offers an environment of unrivaled innovation, and is one of the most important European centres in the area of ICT and new media.
